In any Tug-of-War competition, there has to always be two sides competing. One side can't decide to push aside its competitive focus and offer to collaborate with the other to gain a victory. However, success in a game of Tug-of-War relies entirely upon strength and determination. When two people are in disagreement, strength and determination are often seen as stubbornness or inflexibility. A victory can be achieved now by collaboration, not division.
