With Jupiter as its ruling planet, the Wheel of Fortune is all about luck and change. The wheel symbolizes completeness as well as the rise and fall of fortunes and the message that 'what goes around, comes around'. This card indicated abundance, happiness & luck. A change that just happens and brings great joy with it.
At times in a seeker's life there are some things that you have no control over and you rely on fate, the turn of the wheel. This card is about how we find ourselves waiting for our karmic payback for all the good things we have done in our lives. The wheel is about every changing movement, completion of life stages and new beginnings.
The Strength card is one of those cards in the Tarot which seems to communicate an obvious message. At least, I can remember thinking that when I first started to read the cards. Yes - there are some obvious messages traditionally associated with the Strength card - about overcoming fears, experiencing deep instinctive feelings, even overcoming one's own pride or the desire to control a situation; finding inner strength - perhaps even finding the courage to deal with intensely powerful feelings, especially in a relationship.
I remember when I was first becoming acquainted with the Tarot, having some very strong emotional responses to certain cards. This of course is one of the most useful techniques in learning to relate to the Tarot - to be able to discern what's going on within oneself. The Temperance card was one such card I had some difficulty with - most of the books I read told me it was a message about PATIENCE. And it was usually the last thing I wanted to be told I needed to find!
The two of cups is often seen as THE card of relationship, but most of all, it is the card of love for YOURSELF! This is the card of Valentines' Day romance. A card of deep bliss, joyous love - fully reciprocated. A card of harmonious energy with an undercurrent of passion and heat.
However, this card is also a deeply reflective and receptive card. To be truly loved, deeply treasured, and highly valued by others, we must first and foremost strive to find these values within ourselves. When we work towards loving ourselves, we hold our inner-selves with high regard and respect. When we are coming from this deeply loving space, other people cannot help but respond to our personal energy.
